Rumours have been flying around recently regarding the next-gen development of Techlands’ Dying Light 2. Sources have indicated that the developer is working on bringing their game to PS5 and Series X consoles at launch, implying they would also delay the ‘spring 2020’ release on current gen hardware. This seems to be reinforced by todays news, as a letter penned to fans has delayed the game with no alternate date specified.
The letter, written by Techland CEO Pawel Marchewka, said: “We were initially aiming for a Spring 2020 release with Dying Light 2, but unfortunately we need more development time to fulfil our vision. We will have more details to share in the coming months, and will get back to you as soon as we have more information.”
It’s always disappointing when major games are delayed, but if the end goal is to create the best experience for the player I guess we can wait a little longer. Let loose your thoughts in the comments below.
